Juvederm® Ultra, Ultra Plus and XC

Healthy youthful skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid. Overtime exposure to the elements can reduce the amount of Hyaluronic acid causing your skin to lose volume and creating wrinkles and folds. Juvederm® is an FDA approved medicine made of hyaluronic acid that helps temporarily replace the natural hyaluronic acid your skin has lost adding volume and smoothing away the facial wrinkles and folds. Because your body naturally makes this compound there is no need for allergy testing. Results are virtually immediate, and there is little discomfort depending on where the treatment is performed (some sensitive areas may require topical or local anesthesia). The newest member of the Juvederm family, XC, is formulated with lidocaine for even more comfort during your treatment. Results are not permanent but typically last between nine and eighteen months.
